Hey, Internet! Today, I am fulfilling a request by a friend of mine and writing an article about Nintendo's new handheld system, the 2DS. Right off, I'll go ahead and say the price for this new console is $129 in the U.S. and $110 in the U.K. Although I am a fan of the traditional consoles such as Xbox or Playstation, I am impressed that with all of the companies creating new consoles, Nintendo is the only one making theirs backwards-compatible, and the new 2DS will be as well. It can play 3DS games as well as 2000+ DS games. The device itself thicker than the other DS devices they have made in the past and it seems a little bulky, but at the same time that means it will probably be very durable. This is good because the proposed demographic for the device is kids of around5-7 years old. So, this way, kids can play with these and have a much lower chance of breaking their parents iPads when playing games. Last, the release date for this console is set for October 12th. Sorry if this post seems to be a little shorter than usual but I really couldn't find much information on the 2DS right now. Thanks for reading!
